Acceleration (Year of the “tion” continued)

Greetings! We’ve still got 11 more “tions” to go, but for today, the word is Acceleration.

Acceleration is the act or process of moving faster or happening more quickly. It also means the rate of change with respect to time. Did you know that sometimes the reason that things seem to take a long time to come, is because we are the hold up? Deep down, we may think it should take a long time because that’s the way it happened for someone else. But guess what? You are not like someone else and you have the power to speed things up!

I was introduced to a scripture, that if you dare to stand on it in Faith, you will begin to see a shift. The scripture is found in Amos 9 starting at verse 13. I personally like The Message (MSG) translation which states: “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings!”

I don’t know about you, but I am walking in expectation and I am expecting acceleration in 2015. Join me!

Justification (Year of the “tion” Continued)

Today’s word is Justification. It simply means an acceptable reason for doing something.

As you go about making the steps to get to the next level, you will begin to notice people asking “why.” Why are you doing this? Why are you doing that? You may even notice some of them expressing discontent. A few of these questions may come from what I call “outsiders,” but notice that most will come from your “inside” circle—your family and friends. It is at this point that you will feel the need to justify your actions; and that is strictly up to you. Just make sure that your actions are justified by God and within yourself so that you won’t become distracted or moved off track.

Making a bold and dedicated effort to pursue your dreams will move you out of your comfort zone. For certain, you are going to make those around you uncomfortable as well. Those that know you best will probably question you the most. If you’ve ever seen a litter of puppies sleeping, you notice how tightly they cling to each other. They enjoy each other’s warmth, comfort, and security. They are at peace. However, inevitably one will awaken and decide to venture off and explore their surroundings. Those that remain soon notice the void and they immediately begin to cry aloud and scurry around because of the change and discomfort they feel.

It is no different with us. Those that question you, do so out of a place of discomfort for them. They are used to you being in a certain place and behaving a certain way. When those things change, it now causes them to question themselves. Don’t ignore their questions and/or concerns, just use them to solidify your actions and plans. If some of their questions cause you major concern, then that may be an area that needs a bit more attention to detail from you.

While this period may not be pleasant, don’t fret! It’s all part of the process of making the shift; don’t let it stop you, just continue on!

Revelation!

Year of the “tion” continued…

Moving ahead in our “tion” series, the next word is: Revelation. While it is the name of the last book of the Bible, it means the act of revealing or communicating divine truth; something that is revealed by God to humans.

Since we are looking to make a shift in our lives during this year, revelation is going to be much needed. We want to make a shift, but do you even know what areas of your life that you want to change, or even need to change? You can start by praying. James 1:5 of The Living Bible sates: “If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask him, and he will gladly tell you, for he is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask him; he will not resent it.“ Ask God to reveal those things that will help you in making your shift. Remember, that God also works through people, so don’t be afraid to ask people. Someone that you trust can often provide insight into areas of your life that you may not have even considered. We often assume that our perceptions of ourselves match what people see in us; sometimes, that is not true. However, we will never know until we seek the feedback.

One of the greatest revelations that I can think of, is when we gain positive knowledge about ourselves–discovering the many areas in which we are more than capable, yet had no idea. Trying new experiences and testing your limits can help you discover more about yourself, your skills, and your abilities. You are capable of much more than you think; you just need to take that 1st step!

This year, make it a point to seek out new revelations about yourself and others—I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised!

2015 – New Year’s Shift

2012 Fiat 500 Abarth

This New Year’s Eve, I made a declaration!  I declared that 2015 would be the year of the “tion” (pronounced ‘shun’) As in:

Dedication, revelation, justification, collaboration, expectation, acceleration, motivation, perspiration, determination, relaxation, elevation, generation, optimization, realization, diversification, MANIFESTATION, world-domination, gratification!

As the New Year was about to unfold, I was sensing a shift.  Not just a hopeful thought that I would accidentally happen upon a few good opportunities, but I was sensing a significant shift in my future.  2015 would find me stepping out of my comfort zone and stepping into my purpose!  However, as I was about the make the declaration, the “tion” words started to pop into my head.  One after another, they just kept on coming.  This was a reminder that I would have a part to play.  Great things seldom just drop into our laps, and even though God plants people along our paths to get us to that expected end, we still have to walk it out.  The is no magic wand to tap you on the shoulder; no fairy dust to be sprinkled over your head, no laying on of hands that just places it all at your feet—you have to possess great faith, put in some action, and believe that it will happen.

I not only believe that this declaration is for me, but I also believe that it speaks to some of you as well!  Over the next few months, I will be taking time to expand on each of these words—to help you understand how important of a role they play in helping you get to that next level.  I will also be sharing with you how they are impacting my life as well.

So, now for the first part of the shift.  While I have enjoyed maintaining this blog for a little over a year, it’s time to change it up a little.  My messages, especially with what I am about to do, need to be a bit more targeted.  Instead of posting here, I am going to be emailing these messages directly to you via my Newsletter.

If you are interested in receiving them, just sign up by clicking this link.  I promise not to bombard you with unnecessary email, but I think this will give me a more personal format on which to interact with you.

Please, spread the word on where to find me over the next few months and I look forward to serving you very soon!

May 2015 pour out abundant blessings and success, so much so, that you don’t have room to contain it!
